ITEC SESSIONS
by Ed Sawicki - Accelerated Learning Center / Tailored Computers

PANUG and BizNix will be part of the ITEC show once
again this year. Additionally, we're involved in the
show's education content and exhibits. There will be
a Linux/Open Source education track at the show, which
is held on December 10-11. I'm responsible for coming
up with the topics and finding speakers. The target
audience is IT professions who are still fairly new to
Linux and Open Source software.

I'd like your opinion about the subjects that you think
should be covered in these sessions. Please reply to this
message if you have an opinion. We're limited to four
1-hour sessions so apologies in advance if I don't use
your ideas no matter how good they are.

EXHIBITS
The ITEC show will have an Open Source pavilion and I'm
coordinating that exhibit space. Exhibit space in the
pavilion is considerably less than regular floor space.
If your company, college, organization, etc. offers Linux
or Open Source-related products and services and you want
to have exhibit space in the pavilion, please contact me
at 503-635-6370.

VERTICAL MARKET APPLICATIONS
by Ed Sawicki - Accelerated Learning Center / Tailored Computers

If you're a programmer and are either out of work or have
far less work than you need because of the economy, you
may be interested in a project to produce vertical market
applications that are extremely secure, are trivial to
install and upgrade, and easier to support than conventional
software. These will be commercial applications - not free
software. If you're interested, please contact me via e-mail
at ed@alcpress.com.
