News from PANUG/BizNix - September 13, 2002 http://panug.org - http://biznix.org PANUG MEETING The PANUG user group's monthly meeting is next Thursday, September 19 at 6:15 pm. The presentation will cover Novell's iFolders. iFolders is a WebDAV-like application that allows mobile users to store data on a centralized file server. Unlike remote file systems like CIFS, iFolders is more secure and can be deployed without having to reconfigure your company firewall or deploy a VPN. Visit the PANUG Web site for meeting location. http://panug.org XP SP1 Yesterday, a Microsoft XP Expert Zone columnist said "From what I've seen so far, I'd suggest waiting for the SP1 "patch" before upgrading to SP1. I think I'd rather have the vulnerability than some of the problems I've seen cropping up [with SP1 applied]." At least one PANUG member has casually commented about the terms in the SP1 EULA being a real problem. Can someone who knows about this please write in and describe the problem with the EULA?
