News from PANUG - June 4, 2001 http://www.panug.org info@panug.org LINUX INSIDE PANUG is co-hosting an event called Linux Inside on Saturday, June 23, 2001. Yes, Saturday. This is the first of several such events that will be held on a Saturday for those who just can't get away during the week. You can attend this event for free. The event is geared to people who have little, if any, exposure to the remarkable world of Linux and Open Source Software. If you're a Linux veteran, this is not for you but you probably know others who need the knowledge. Pass this information on to them. For details and to register, visit the PANUG web site at http://panug.org THIS LIST by Gregg Berkholtz Alan R. recently sent us a message that included this paragraph: I was wondering if anyone else posts to this list besides Ed. I have never seen any other messages in my mailbox concerning this list. I have tried to go to the list archives but goy a 404 Not Found error. This list is an announcement list only. Nobody can post to it directly except the administrators. If you have something that would interest the PANUG membership, send it to us and we'll edit it and post it for you. Ed Sawicki is a frequent contributor but others have written for this list as well. Alan goes on to write: I am always trying to learn more about networking and would like to meet others that are interested in the same. I will try to find some time to make a meeting. So far I've been too busy. I have a home network with Linux and Win98 mixed. Most of the value that members seem to get from their PANUG membership are attending meetings, special events, such as the upcoming Linux Inside, and this mailing list. Most PANUG members use networks in their professional lives though some are hobbyists as well. If you need a discussion list that relates to Linux, check out the PLUG list at http://www.pdxlinux.org
